Synergy Hire Ltd is a rapidly growing plant hire business, headquartered in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. In operation for over five years, we have expanded significantly and now operate from five locations across the UK. We are proud to be part of the Hitachi Construction Machinery Group, a leading global brand in the construction machinery industry.
As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter/Engineer to join our team based at our Midlands Depot.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent qualification).
  • NVQ Level 2 in Plant Maintenance will also be considered, but please note the salary will reflect this qualification level.
  • Proven experience in plant machinery maintenance and repairs.
  • Full, valid UK driving licence.
  • CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a mobile fitter role is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of plant equipment, including excavators, loaders, and access equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair faults, ensuring all machinery is compliant with relevant safety standards.
  • Conduct inspections and keep accurate records of work carried out.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service when liaising with clients.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, ensuring safe working practices at all times.
  • Travel to various sites as required, using company-provided transportation.
