Shifts: Monday to Friday, 07:00–17:00, plus Saturday 07:00–09:30 (or every other Saturday 09:30–11:30)
Hours: 50 per week
Annual Salary: £38,688

• Mobile plant experience
• CPCS desirable

A QUICK LOOK AT THE ROLE.

You will be responsible for operating Mobile Plant and Fixed Plant within the Lancing transfer station. You’ll be trained on all mobile plant including Clamp Truck, Shovel Loader, Grab Loader and Telehandler in all aspects of production processes. Operate Baling press as required. Conduct housekeeping duties and work within company H&S standards and procedures.

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Operate mobile plant machinery such as loading shovels, telehandlers, and excavators to handle and process waste materials safely.
• Conduct daily checks and routine maintenance on mobile plant equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
• Load, unload, and transport waste materials across the site while following safety and environmental guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining site cleanliness by keeping work areas free from hazards and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Follow operational procedures and permit conditions when handling different waste streams to prevent contamination and ensure compliance.
• Identify and report any machinery defects, malfunctions, or potential safety risks to the relevant personnel.
• Support waste processing activities, including sorting, shredding, and compacting, as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and drivers to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.
