SUMMARY

A leader in trailer rental, leasing, and maintenance solutions, Trailcon Leasing is currently hiring a Mobile Reefer Technician for our location in Balzac, Alberta.
Experience working on both Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units is a strong asset.
Available Shift: Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)

What you will do as a Mobile Reefer Technician:

  • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical systems, heating and refrigeration systems
  • Repair and maintain Trailcon & customer equipment
  • PM services for all units when required
  • Assist with maintenance of the mobile service unit
  • Inventory replenishment and control
  • Perform customer service functions including diagnosis and recommendations, and provide advise on repairs and estimates for same where required
  • Enter and update information via the maintenance tablet in real-time
  • Operate mobile service truck and complete repairs in a safe manner at all times
  • Other duties as required to support operations
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner and report relevant issues to Manager

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Journeyman certification in Alberta and or Red Seal certification related to Transport Refrigeration units
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC components, electrical circuits, and control systems
  • Must be able to work independently and engage in a team atmosphere
  • Organized and self-motivated worker with great attention to detail
  • A clean driver’s abstract
  • Ability to lift heavy parts up to 50 lbs on occasion
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, training documents and complete repair procedures in accordance with Ministry of Transportation repair requirements
