Business Development Manager I Mobile Sales Specialist About Focus Group We’re a £1bn technology provider supporting 30,000+ UK businesses with mobile, connectivity, IT, cloud, and cyber solutions. Our Mobile Sales Specialists strengthen our sales capability, helping us win competitive business and deliver outstanding customer outcomes. The Role As a BDM within our Mobile & IoT division, you’ll be the trusted expert supporting wider BDMs and Account Managers across other product divisions to uncover opportunities, shape compelling mobile solutions, and close deals. You’ll drive commercial impact by combining product understanding (training provided), strong sales acumen, and the ability to influence decision‑makers. This role requires someone who is proactive in prospecting, generating leads, and identifying/qualifying mobile opportunities across both new logo business and existing accounts. What You’ll Be Doing Support wider BDM’s in qualifying opportunities, shaping solutions, and closing mobile deals. Join customer calls/meetings to articulate mobile propositions clearly and confidently. Translate mobile capabilities into clear commercial benefits for customers. Produce tailored mobile proposals and solution recommendations. Deliver mobile insights, competitor positioning, and best‑practice guidance. Prospect, research, and generate new leads to build pipeline opportunities. Identify upsell and cross‑sell potential across the existing customer base. What You’ll Bring Essential Experience in sales, account management, or customer‑facing roles (telecoms/tech useful but not required). Strong commercial awareness and the ability to simplify solutions for customers. Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills. Proactive mindset — comfortable with prospecting, outreach, and generating new opportunities. Willingness to learn — full training provided on business mobile products, tariffs, networks, and device/MDM solutions. Collaborative, customer‑focused, and motivated by achieving targets. Desirable (Training Provided) Exposure to mobile/telecoms, networks, MDM/UEM, or IoT. Vendor/network accreditations (O2, Vodafone, EE, Samsung, Apple) — not essential Your Earnings Potential: Base: £30-40k + £400/month car allowance (depending on experience) Year 1 OTE: £65-80k (realistic, based on current team performance) Top performers earn: £100k+ (uncapped commission with monthly accelerators) No thresholds: You earn from deal one What’s in it for you?
