Salary £12.60 per hour | 5 hours per week | Permanent, Part time | Highways and Transport | West Lancashire About the role A Mobile School Crossing Patrol is required in the West Lancashire area, to act as a Mobile Relief providing cover for the fixed-point school crossing patrols due to absence and to cover vacant posts. The applicant must have access to their own transport, business insurance and be able to travel to any of the crossings at short notice on a shift-by-shift basis. The crossing times vary but are generally in the region of 08:30 to 09:00 and 15:10 to 15:40, Monday to Friday during term time, which is 38 weeks a year. Main duties * To perform school crossing patrol duties as instructed and provide cover at any reasonable crossing point to where you live, and at the times specified. * To operate hazard warning lights, where installed and manually operated. * To maintain control over children awaiting instructions to cross. * To report any accidents involving yourself, road traffic accidents at or close to the crossing point, or untoward incidents which could affect the safety of children in your care.
