Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Mobile Service Assurance Engineer to ensure the stability, performance and evolution of our mobile core network. The ideal candidate will have good understanding of IMS, VoLTE and legacy CS/PS core domains. You will be responsible for advanced technical support, incident resolution and network monitoring . This role is critical for maintaining our service level agreements (SLAs) and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities Provide 2nd level of technical support for the Orange Romania mobile core network including IMS, VoLTE, CS, and PS domains. Investigate, troubleshoot and solve all roaming faults related to voice, mobile data, SMS and value-added services. Perform in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of call flows and network faults using protocols like SIP, Diameter, ISUP, MAP, GTP, etc. Monitor network performance and availability using established tools and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Supervise and validate planned work, including software upgrades, patching and configuration changes on core network elements (e.g., SBC, CSCF, TAS, HSS, MME, MSC/MGW, DSR, STP). Lead incident management efforts, from ticket acceptance to fault resolution and contribute to comprehensive incident reports. Collaborate with vendors, L1 support teams and other engineering departments to resolve complex issues and deploy new solutions. Participate in the design, validation and launch of new services and functionalities within the IMS and VoLTE ecosystem. Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge base documents. Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure network integrity and rapid response to critical incidents. Required Qualifications & Skills [1-3]+ years of experience in a mobile core network operations or engineering environment. Good understanding of mobile core architecture (CS, PS, IMS). Hands-on experience with signaling protocols such as SIP, Diameter, MAP, ISUP, GTP, etc. Proven ability to troubleshoot network and service issues from incidents or/and complaints using monitoring tools. Experience with network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, Anritsu). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
