QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A clean driving license is required (up to 6 penalty points acceptable).
  • No Gas Safe certification is necessary for this role.

SKILLS:

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities across a wide range of domestic appliances.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage health and safety effectively while working alone.
  • Proficient in using technology and software for job management and communication.
  • Flexible and well-organised, with the ability to manage time effectively to attend multiple service calls daily.

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in servicing and repairing domestic appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, tumble dryers, cookers, dishwashers, and microwaves.
  • Experience with well-known appliance brands such as Bosch, Beko, Hotpoint, Whirlpool, Glen Dimplex, Miele, and Electrolux.
  • Previous field service technician experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of 2nd line refrigeration (R600) is a plus (training will be provided).
Responsibilities

ROLE OF THE MOBILE SERVICE ENGINEER:

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Service Engineer to join our team, specializing in the repair and maintenance of domestic appliances. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing a variety of household products, including refrigerators, laundry appliances, electric cookers, and dishwashers, all within customers’ homes. While a Gas Safe certification is not required, you must bring strong technical expertise and exceptional problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve appliance issues efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service & Repair: Carry out servicing and repairs on a wide range of domestic appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, tumble dryers, cookers, dishwashers, microwaves, and other household white goods.
  • Customer Appointments: Manage up to 10 service calls per day, depending on location and job requirements.
  • Job Sheets & Stock Management: Maintain accurate electronic job sheets and ensure the correct parts are identified and stocked for each service call. Keep your van inventory up-to-date.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining professionalism, courtesy, and a focus on high-quality work to foster customer loyalty and repeat business.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed when working alone, guaranteeing safe and effective service delivery.
  • Vehicle Care: Keep your company vehicle clean and well-maintained, performing routine checks as required.
  • Technology & Communication: Use company technology to manage jobs, track progress, and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Uniform & PPE: Wear the provided company uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety standards and brand consistency.
  • Problem Solving & Diagnostics: Apply your diagnostic skills to quickly identify issues and provide efficient repair solutions.
