Job Details Job Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15218 Position Type: Full Time POSITION SUMMARY: The Mobile Sous Chef will work closely with the Mobile Chef in preparing dishes focusing on nutrition, including plant-based and vegan dishes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Participate in the production of food for all Metro events including on-site staff meals and food truck events. Follow all health, safety and hygiene codes and standards. Participate in the daily cleaning of all Community Kitchen equipment. Assist in breaking down and cleaning the food truck at the end of each shift. Communicate ideas and concerns to the Mobile Chef in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education/Experience Culinary Arts Degree 2 years working as a sous chef. ServSafe Food Handlers Certification Skills/Abilities The ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work well with a team or independently. Excellent communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent customer service. Provide a safe experience for individuals experiencing hunger, addiction and/or health concerns by treating them with dignity, empathy and respect.
