We are looking for a Mobile Tech Lead to lead our Mobile Squad. In this role you will be the most senior technical expert within the mobile engineering team. You will specialize in hybrid mobile development using React Native and lead the team in building high-quality mobile applications. Working closely with Technical Architects, you will design system features, ensure code quality, and oversee the entire mobile development lifecycle.
Your expertise will extend to app deployment, management, and navigating the Android and Apple App Stores processes. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovation to deliver exceptional mobile solutions that impact millions of users worldwide.

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 5 years in mobile development.
• Proven experience in leading the development of engaging, scalable, high-performance mobile applications using React Native.
• Extensive experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native CLI, and Expo framework.
• Experience with native mobile development (iOS and Android) is a plus.
• Familiarity with iOS and Android app deployment processes, including app store submission, provisioning profiles, and signing certificates.
• Experience with CI/CD tools specific to mobile development, such as Fastlane, Bitrise, or Microsoft App Center.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Technical Architects, Product and Delivery Managers, and cross-functional teams.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Expert understanding of React Native and its ecosystem, including Redux, Context API, and React Navigation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages.
• Experience with Detox for end-to-end testing and Jest for unit testing.
• Familiarity with native modules and bridging between React Native and native code.
• Knowledge of mobile app architecture patterns, such as MVC, MVVM, and Flux.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating mobile applications with backend services.
• Understanding of performance optimization techniques for mobile apps, including memory management and UI rendering.
• Experience with push notifications, deep linking, and app extensions.
• Knowledge of App Store Connect and Google Play Console for app management.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git and Bitbucket.
• Understanding of security best practices in mobile app development.
• Experience with analytics and crash reporting tools like Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or Sentry.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) for project management and documentation.
