About the Project The $2.3 billion-dollar New Intercity Fleet (NIF) project will involve the design, build and maintenance of 554 train carriages for Transport for NSW. The New Intercity Fleet (NIF) will carry customers from Sydney to the Central Coast, Newcastle, the South Coast, the Blue Mountains and Lithgow. UGL is responsible for the maintenance and whole‐of‐life asset management of the 554 new carriages once they are added to the NSW TrainLink Fleet. UGL's maintenance and asset management is based at a new purpose‐built facility in Kangy Angy on NSW’s Central Coast. The facility features multiple roads with a wash plant, wheel lathe and an undercover maintenance area. About the Role Our maintenance team is growing, and we are looking for Mobile Rolling Stock Maintainers (Electrical or Mechanical) to support the increased maintenance activity on our fleet. This role is required to support Passenger Services of the NIF trains and you will be part of a team working 24/7 on the North Run, located at Kangy Angy Maintenance Facility, Central Coast NSW. We are currently looking for people with ideally Electrical or Mechanical trades background. You may be a domestic electrician who enjoys workshop work, cabling, crimping and wiring without driving from job to job. These positions will be offered on a 24/7 roster with an average of 38 hours per week, paid under the UGL Kangy Angy NIF Enterprise Agreement on a base hourly rate with allowances About You Australian recognised Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification Preventative and corrective maintenance Fault finding, diagnostics, rectification and post work testing Forklift or overhead crane license is desirable but not a necessity Enjoy a workshop environment.
