This position is a part time position that offers a very flexible schedule. Position Summary: A Mobile Therapist (MT) provides individual and family therapy to the child. An MT can assist the family to promote the independence of the family in managing mental health needs and/or behavior problems. An MT develops a crisis plan with other involved professionals and the family. this position can be a full time or part time position depending on the applicants availabilty. Benefits effective after 30 days are as follows: Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Free Life Insurance Supplemental Life Insurance Summary of Essential Position Functions: Provide weekly individual and family therapy interventions to client and family Collaborate with team members Complete all paperwork within policy time frames Initiate and attend treatment team meetings monthly with child, family and treatment team Attend interagency meetings Provide services within authorized amount of hours per week Attend staff meetings Comply with all Progressions School policies Attend sixteen (16) hours of training per year If not a licensed Psychologist you must attend supervision with licensed Psychologist one (1) hour a month Travel to and from school site to perform services Perform other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: Not Applicable Qualifications Qualifications: To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Licensed Mental Health Clinician, OR Clinical Psychologist, OR Clinical Social Worker, OR Graduate Mental Health degree and at least one (1) year full-time paid experience in a CAASP system (C&Y, JJS, MH, Special Education, D&A) or employed by a mental health services agency (only work with children and adolescents), Post Graduate Degree Clearances for Child Abuse, FBI and State Criminal CPR/First Aid Certification Technical/Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Individual and family therapy experience Knowledge of mental health systems Must be able to intervene and control agitated students through non-physical interventions. Responsibilities
Mobile Therapists provide individual and family therapy to children and assist families in managing mental health needs. They also develop crisis plans and collaborate with other professionals involved in the child's care.
