Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Trailer Technician with specialized knowledge in bulk tank trailers to join our team. In this role, you will perform complex repairs, maintenance, and inspections on commercial trailers, with a strong emphasis on tank trailers used in bulk transportation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expert mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality. Serve as the trailer technician for trailer maintenance, focusing on bulk tank trailers, including pneumatic, liquid, and dry bulk configurations. Diagnose and perform repairs on all trailer systems including brakes, suspension, lights, hydraulics, air systems, and tank components (valves, blowers, hoses, manways, etc.). Conduct DOT and internal inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time allocation through maintenance software. Coordinate workflow, prioritize repair tasks, and ensure timely turnaround of trailers for operations. Collaborate with local fleet management and safety teams to identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions. Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment while performing your duties. Assist with the procurement of parts and tools necessary for repairs Requirements Must possess a calid driver’s license 5+ years of trailer repair experience, with at least 2 years working specifically on bulk tank trailers. Diesel experience is highly recommended as well. Strong understanding of DOT, OSHA, and FMCSA regulations. Proficient in welding, fabrication, and use of diagnostic tools. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics. Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus). ASE or manufacturer certifications are a plus. Must have appropriate hand tools for the work that will be performed. Specialty tools will be provided. Shop and yard environment; may be exposed to dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. Requires standing, lifting (up to 75 lbs), bending, and use of hand/power tools for extended periods
