We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Supervisor to help launch and shape the future of our all-electric, mobility-on-demand transit service! What You’ll Do: Oversee daily operations and solve logistical challenges to keep MOD services running smoothly Supervise and support operators, ensuring safe, reliable service & great passenger experience Lead training efforts and collaboratively develop MOD program policies & procedures Monitor operator performance, provide timely feedback, & celebrate wins Ensure compliance with TCAT policies, DOT/DMV regulations, & NYS Article 19-A testing Be on-call to respond to service issues, coordinate with mechanics, & assist with emergency operations Represent TCAT and engage with the community at events and meetings Why Join TCAT? Schedule: Service hours TBD, but will include night & weekend operations and on-call responsibilities Work Environment: This role blends office work with field supervision — you’ll be out & about supporting operators, attending community events, and making sure everything runs smoothly. Be ready for all kinds of weather and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs). Qualifications Who We’re Looking For: Supervisory experience – preferably in a transit or dispatch environment Strong, clear, consistent interpersonal communication & leadership skills Safety first mindset (and you have the clean driving record to back it up!) Flexible schedule, available to be on-call during night & weekend service hours Ability to think on your feet and be accountable for decision-making Comfort with technology and data - you’ll help track & analyze performance Collaborative spirit and a commitment to safety, service, and teamwork! Additional Details: Must possess high school diploma or equivalent Formal training of one to two years in a technical or trade school, two years college coursework, or Associate's degree preferred 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred; preferably in a collective bargaining environment 3 years of experience in a transit environment preferred 2 years of experience in developing and administering training programs Must possess good analytical and basic math skills Proficient with computer technology and experience with Microsoft Office Suite Must possess valid CDL-B driver's license (or obtain one as soon as eligible) Must possess NYS 19A examiner's certification (or obtain one as soon as eligible) Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management team, and passengers Ability to plan and assign work in an efficient and effective manner Ability to interpret policies and regulations and apply them in an appropriate manner Able to exercise good judgment with respect to employee and passenger welfare, and equipment safety Ability to work independently and as a part of a team As supervisor of “safety sensitive positions” is subject to periodic drug and alcohol screening
