Shire Mobility is currently looking for a someone who is willing to work both in our workshop fixing/building equipment and also supporting us on the shopfloor dealing with customers when needed, either as a trainee or someone who has relevant experience.

Responsibilities

You will be trained to service, repair, and install a range of mobility equipment for our customers and care homes. You will also be dealing with our customers on the shopfloor. Each day will present new challenges and tasks, including:

  • Servicing and repairing mobility products such as scooters and powerchairs
  • Assembling new products for the shop floor
  • Maintaining workshop cleanliness
  • Delivering and collecting products like riser recliners
  • Helping out on the shopfloor dealing with our customers, taking phone calls etc

Ideal Candidate: We are seeking an individual who is:

  • In possession of a clean manual driving license (essential)
  • Reliable, punctual, and maintains a smart appearance
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and physically fit
  • Willing to learn and take on diverse tasks
  • Electrically or mechanically minded
  • Organised with a good sense of humour

As a small team, flexibility and adaptability are crucial. Most of your work will be at the Northampton workshop located in the store. Ideally, candidates should reside within the triangle of Bicester, Banbury, and Northampton.
