Mobility Trainee Technician
We are looking for a Trainee Technician/Delivery Driver to support our workshop based in Street, Somerset. You will work on a wide range of mobility equipment including mobility scooters, Riser Recliners, adjustable beds and Powered wheelchairs. You will have a keen eye for detail and ensure that the showroom and workshop is tidy and attractively presented.
Responsibilities:
Service and repair of mobility equipment, testing of batteries and chargers, puncture repairs
Delivery and collection of a wide range of equipment including scooters, wheelchairs, Power Chairs, riser recliners, motorised beds.
Unpacking, assembling and testing new equipment
Maintaining detailed job related paperwork
Demonstration and delivery to customer’s home or company shops
Skills needed:
Confidence and positive attitude
Ability to work under own initiative
Willingness to learn about new products and services (Full industry based training is provided)
Reliable and Good time Keeper
Hours: 9am – 4.45pm
Remuneration: A competitive hourly rate
You will need to be a self-starter who can work unsupervised and manage your own workload as you will be out on your own. You will also need strong attention to detail to ensure equipment is thoroughly checked, clean and that it is safe for customers to use before delivery. Full clean driving license required and basic CRB check. Preferred over 30 years old due to vehicle insurance
