Organizational Context and Scope Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) and in close coordination with the Regional Thematic Specialists (RTS) in Regional Office for Asia and Pacific (ROAP) and relevant units at Headquarters (HQ), the Emergency Management and Peacebuilding Coordinator will serve as the head of Emergency and Disaster Management and Peacebuilding Unit and will be responsible and accountable for the development, oversight and coordination of IOM’s programmes and operations under emergencies, peace, and development coordination in Papua New Guinea
Responsibilities
The Emergency Management and Peacebuilding Coordinator will oversee and coordinate IOM’s programs and operations related to emergencies, peace, and development in Papua New Guinea. This role involves direct supervision by the Chief of Mission and collaboration with regional and headquarters units.
