Organizational Context and Scope Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) and the direct supervision of the Head of Humanitarian Assistance and Operations, and in coordination with the Migration Health Department at the Regional Level and Headquarters (HQs), the Programme Coordinator (Emergency Health) will be responsible for the overall supervision, management, coordination and strategic guidance of IOM’s Emergency Health Programming in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The successful candidate will provide programmatic management, coordination, strategic guidance and technical oversight to IOM’s emergency health operations; ensure coordination with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, World Health Organization (WHO) and health sector partners; liaise and collaborate with other IOM sectors, oversee and supervise IOM’s emergency health teams and guide project and programme development through emergency and transition phases.
Responsibilities
The Programme Coordinator (Emergency Health) will oversee and manage IOM’s Emergency Health Programming in Cox’s Bazar, providing strategic guidance and technical oversight. The role includes ensuring coordination with health sector partners and supervising emergency health teams.
