Organizational Context and Scope Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (COM) in Niger and direct supervision of Programme Officer (Protection and Reintegration), and in close coordination with the Regional Thematic Specialist (RTS) at the Regional Office and relevant Divisions/Departments /Units at Headquarters (HQ), the Project Officer (Reintegration) will be responsible and accountable for supporting the effective coordination and delivery of assistance to returning migrants. The successful candidate will support in strengthening reintegration schemes, planning, budgeting, implementing, and monitoring and evaluation of migrants’ reintegration assistance for IOM Niger under the Migrant Protection, Return and Reintegration Programme in Sub-Saharan Africa (MPRR-SSA).

Responsibilities

The Project Officer is responsible for coordinating and delivering assistance to returning migrants in Niger. This includes strengthening reintegration schemes, planning, budgeting, and monitoring the Migrant Protection, Return and Reintegration Programme.
