Description
M.S./M.E./M.Tech/PhD in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, Applied Mechanics. Masters with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience (PhD with minimum 6+ year of relevant experience) Strong expertise in Finite Element modeling such as Structural liner/nonlinear analysis, Heat transfer/Thermal stress and Modal analysis of complex structures and Reactor systems with commercial packages such as Abaqus ( CAE & Solver ), ANSYS Mechanical etc Develop sub-routines in commercial FE modeling software AI/ML model to develop RoM (Reduced order Models) Coding experience using Matlab/Python Engineering judgment and creativity to solve complex problems, validate model accuracy, and determine appropriate actions. Demonstrated conversion of physical problem into mathematical model Experience in preparation of technical report / failure report based on analysis results High learning agility to quickly pick up product knowledge, domain knowledge and software tool expertise to model high fidelity multi physics complex models Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationship with local and global stakeholders, effective communication skills to be successful in matrix organization This position will be based out of Bangalore, reporting to the leader of Mechanical Modeling manager in India, and closely working with Local and Global Product Groups. This individual would be responsible to simulate complex multi physics problems to aid product or process development by working closely with engineering teams in the US and Asia region. Individual's primary job responsibilities are listed below: Builds Finite Element models of complex reactor systems to aid product/process development. Willing to learn and explore multi physics problems where FEA modeling is involved Collaborates with engineers from various Business Units to address customer escalation/Design challenges by simulating Structural liner/nonlinear analysis, Heat transfer/Thermal stress and Modal analysis of complex structures and Reactor systems Writes reports to summarize modeling activity and presents to Product Development teams as necessary Mentors/Assists Design Engineers to solve design issues by simulating the physics of the problem using Computation Modeling techniques Improves modeling techniques by defining modeling methods for Multiphysics problems (Structural and Thermal) and publish Best Known Methods
