This role requires the successful candidate to maintain a Working with Children Check The successful candidate can apply for the WWCC as part of the onboarding process. • Develop and Adapt Mathematical Models: Assist with model-based studies of respiratory virus epidemiology and vaccine strategies, adapting existing agent-based models of population-level infection transmission.
• Analyse and Integrate Surveillance Data : Apply advanced statistical methods to synthesise diverse respiratory virus surveillance signals, including genomic data from wastewater surveillance.
• Contribute to Research Outputs: Assist in drafting peer-reviewed publications and reports for funders, communicating project findings effectively.
• Mentor and Collaborate : Provide day-to-day mentoring for graduate research students and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
