Job Description Modem SW Engineer - Architecture & Networking Solutions (Telematics) l AUMOVIO Korea Position Overview: The Senior Embedded Software Engineer with deep expertise in embedded systems and wireless communication protocols to join our Telematics R&D team. We develop next-generation Telematics Control Units (TCUs) for leading global automotive OEMs. A critical role in designing, developing, and integrating telematics software while ensuring compliance with automotive-grade quality and performance standards. Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of embedded software for Telematics Control Units (TCUs). Develop and integrate cellular (LTE/5G), GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System), Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and CAN/LIN stack modules. Collaborate closely with hardware, systems, and validation teams to deliver new features to market. Analyze customer requirements and translate them into detailed software specifications. Debug complex system-level issues across the stack (bootloader, middleware, drivers, applications). Interface with customers during integration, validation, and product launch phases. Support OTA updates, diagnostics (UDS), and data logging functionalities. Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as AUTOSAR, ASPICE, and ISO 26262 (functional safety). Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and drive software engineering best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of embedded software development experience in C/C++. Hands-on experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) or embedded Linux. Strong knowledge of cellular technologies (LTE/5G) and GNSS systems. Familiarity with vehicle network protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS diagnostics. Experience working with Qualcomm or MediaTek cellular chipsets (e.g., TelSDK, TelAF, QMI, RIL, MIPC, AT command stacks).
