Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a Modern Work M365 Support Engineer to join a Microsoft-managed services project supporting enterprise customers in Japan. This role focuses on end-user productivity support and cloud service operations, ensuring a seamless experience across Microsoft 365 applications and services. You will operate in a hybrid work environment, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and operational assistance across M365 applications and cloud platforms, while collaborating with Microsoft-aligned teams in a structured, SLA-driven delivery model. This position is well-suited for candidates with strong foundational knowledge of M365 tools and basic cloud concepts, along with a high aptitude for learning and adapting in a fast-evolving technology landscape. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Provide support for Microsoft 365 Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Assist in the operation and troubleshooting of M365 cloud services, including: Exchange Online SharePoint Online Microsoft Teams Diagnose and resolve issues related to: User access Collaboration tools Email and document management Support basic network-related troubleshooting (HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS) Collaborate with internal teams and Microsoft stakeholders to meet service-level agreements (SLAs) Document issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures Continuously learn and adopt new Microsoft technologies and platform updates Provide user guidance and support to improve overall productivity and system usage Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 10 yrs of hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365 environments Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office client applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 cloud services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams) Foundational knowledge of computer networking concepts (HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS) Strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, technologies, and environments Ability to support users in a structured, customer-facing environment Japanese: Native or fluent (required for customer interaction and documentation) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Basic knowledge of identity and access management, including: Active Directory (AD) Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Entra ID Connect, ADFS, WAP Basic understanding of Windows client environments Interest in AI technologies and modern workplace innovations Experience working in enterprise IT support or managed services environments Beyondsoft provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type with regards to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
