About you
The Lift Auditor, Modernisation/BEX is responsible for attending tender mandatory walkthroughs on behalf of the Modernisation/BEX department.
This role also includes conducting site inspections and surveys for on and off portfolio lifts and escalators both pre and post order. This will involve the gathering of technical data and relevant photos to assist with the generation of a modernisation proposal and or the booking and engineering of a Mod/BEX order.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Modernisation/BEX Sales Consultants in estimating projects by determining client requirements, All Risks associated with the project, design parameters, undertaking Hazard and Risk, organising vendor quotations in accordance with Otis Policy and Procedures
  • Conduct Modernisation/BEX Site Surveys. This will involve detailed knowledge of the specification/tender document and conducting an on-site engineering survey as published by Engineering or the Branch office
  • Upon completion of inspections/surveys, review results with Modernisation/BEX Sales consultants and or Modernisation/BEX Operations Ssaff
  • Actively participate in company processes such as the Modernisation Sales Installation Process to manage and document the sales and installation milestone
  • Upon acceptance by the customer of an Otis proposal, act as interface between the customer and the Company to obtain any Outstanding Sales or Engineering Data.
  • Conduct life cycle inspections for on/off portfolio units and produce reports for the Service Department/Customers to assess future Modernisation/Replacement opportunities and information for customer Capital Expenditure budgets.
  • Keep local management informed of all market intelligence activities within their assigned area
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of Otis’ product range, the building and construction industry, relevant Codes and contract practices to competently deal with architects, builders, consultants, developers and statutory authorities
  • Comply with Company Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures including reporting any conditions which may impact on the environment or any employee

What you will need to be successful

  • Trade background with a minimum of 10 years elevator industry experience or qualifications to certificate level or above with experience in building Services / Lift Industry, especially adjusting, commissioning and Service
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills, including PC skills, with ability to influence employees at all levels
  • Analytical skills, with high standards of objectivity, demonstrating good judgement, together with an ethical, professional approach to the role
  • A sound knowledge of the relevant statutory regulations and Lift industry Codes
