Responsibilities

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

At Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Program Technical Lead to guide the successful modernization of our technology stack, spanning Java back-end services, React front-end applications, and customer communication platforms (Quadient & OpenText Exstream).
This is a critical and high-impact role that will serve as the primary technical authority for one of our most strategic programs. You will provide day-to-day technical leadership across the program, ensuring design integrity, delivery quality, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards — while managing close coordination with our outsourced development partner.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Serve as the lead technical architect and decision-maker for a major modernization program transitioning to a modern Java, React, and CCM-based technology stack.
  • Work hand-in-hand with our outsourced development vendor, providing design guidance, reviewing deliverables, and holding them accountable to our engineering and quality standards.
  • Oversee solution design, code structure, integration patterns, and component ownership across the full stack — from services to UI to communications.
  • Ensure consistency, scalability, and security across all delivered solutions, aligning with enterprise standards and architectural direction.
  • Collaborate closely with internal product owners, delivery managers, QA teams, and security/compliance partners to ensure seamless and secure execution.
  • Lead code and design reviews, define technical checkpoints, and proactively mitigate delivery and architectural risks.
  • Act as a technical bridge between vendor teams and internal leadership, providing transparency, confidence, and technical oversight throughout program execution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance, automate testing, reduce technical debt, and optimize developer efficiency.
  • Partner with platform leads (Java, CCM, React) to align implementation patterns and share best practices.
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.
