Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Modification Mechanic F&H B to join our team in Everett, WA.
Position Responsibilities:

Determine work assignment based on schedule or direction from supervisor. Review paperwork and drawings to determine work to be accomplishe

  • dAssist in locating work area using drawings, IP (Installation Plan), OSIP (Out of Sequence Installation Plan), NCO (Non-Conformance Order), or other paperwork that specifies airplane number, section number, and three-point locatio
  • nObtain and verify pre-picked detail parts (kits), standards, and assemblies were issued correctly by comparing part numbers and quantities to W/O, IP, and/or BOM (Bill of Material) on drawing(s). Ensure that parts issued are effective for the airplane and are free of visible defect
  • sOperate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g., tiger and snorkel lifts), as required, to locate parts/assemblies into position or to perform assembly wor
  • kUse precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometer, calipers) to measure dimensions per drawing, sketches, and engineer requirement
  • sIncorporate changes to aircraft to reconfigure to customer requirements. Install or rework interior and/or exterior components to engineering specification
  • sCheck own work as well as others as requested after completion of each operation in job and/or completed job to ensure it is complete per drawing, that there are no defects and that area around job is clean, prior to putting up for inspectio
  • nSubmit completed job or in-process checks, as required, to inspector at appropriate steps in sequence. Perform rework as required (e.g., pick-ups, special repairs
  • )Consult with management and/or others (e.g., engineering, planning, inspection, or customer) on process/schedules or job-related issues as require

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

1+ years of experience as a machinist, mechanic, or other mechanical aptitude
