Description Mohs Clinical Float Myrtle Beach, SC Job Summary: The Mohs Medical Assistant - Team Support will be trained in all areas of the Mohs surgery department. The Candidate should be flexible and versatile, willing to help where needed. This position will require travel to multiple locations as the need presents itself. This person should be reliable, empathetic, work well within a team, and compassionate about patient care. Job Duties: Clinical: Making pre-op and post-op phone calls Numbing patient for surgery Assisting Surgeon during surgery with excisions, biopsies Placing patients in rooms, taking histories, going in with physicians and assisting with surgeries, cleaning rooms for the next patient, cleaning instruments. Consults (both phone and office) Entering data in EMR system quickly and accurately Vital Signs Cleaning, sterilizing appropriate packs for surgery Cleaning exam rooms Stocking rooms Syringes/injectables as needed Process tissue on cryostat or by manual methods Produces consistently good quality microscopic slides that can be readily reviewed and interpreted by the Mohs surgeon Assisting other staff as needed depending on various needs of the office/providers Requirements High School Graduate Clinical background knowledge required. Experience in Dermatology or Mohs a plus Hours: Full-time Monday - Friday (7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
