JOB SUMMARY:

The Mold Installer is responsible for setting up, installing, adjusting, and removing molds in manufacturing machines (such as injection molding, blow molding, or die casting equipment). This role ensures proper alignment, functionality, and safety of molds to support efficient production operations.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in mold installation, tooling, or machine setup (in plastics, die casting, or related industries).
Basic mechanical knowledge.
Ability to use hand tools and lifting equipment.
Able to read simple instructions or drawings.
Physically fit to handle molds.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine mold installation requirements.
Safely install, align, and secure molds in machines using cranes, hoists, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Perform mold changeovers efficiently to minimize downtime.
Inspect molds for defects, wear, or damage before and after installation; report issues to maintenance or supervisors.
Maintain records of mold changes, maintenance activities, and production details.
Ensure proper connections for cooling, heating, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Adjust machine settings and calibrate equipment after mold installation.
Conduct test runs to verify mold performance and product quality.
Follow safety procedures and company standards to prevent accidents or damage to equipment.
Assist in mold cleaning, repair, and preventive maintenance as required.
