Description To repair mold used in the making of vinyl handles to ensure they are in proper and usable condition. Essential Functions: Straighten and clean all molds and replace worn or broken pins. This process may include sandblasting and drilling. Clean and date stamp end caps to keep them current. Transport molds needing most extensive repair (i.e. grinding or machining) to Machine shop and notify Foreman of unserviceable or un-repairable molds. Transports molds to and from specific production areas. Completes the appropriate routing sheet and inputs data entry information in a timely manner. Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education/Experience: One to three months of related experience or on-the-job training. Physical: Must be able to stand at equipment for 8 hours or more per day. Must be able to use both hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Must have good peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus on work. Employees will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, high noise levels, vibration to hands, and extreme heat. Employees will be required to wear hearing protection, safety glasses and foot protection. Mental: Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions, including maintenance instructions. Must be able to perform mathematical skills such as: addition, subtractions, multiplication, and division of all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
