Meritec is seeking a detail-oriented Mold Machine Set-Up / Process Technician (2nd Shift) to set-up and start-up injection mold machines and to inspect & perform preventive maintenance on tooling & fixtures in accordance with defined procedures and engineering standards, in support of Meritec’s high-performance connector manufacturing operations. This position is onsite, Monday-Friday, Second Shift, 3:15 pm to 11:45 pm with overtime opportunities. Essential Responsibilities Set-up and tear down molds and secondary equipment. Make necessary adjustments on primary tooling, machines and fixtures. Start-up of production jobs. Approval may be required. Perform set-up parameter adjustments for major deviations. Perform first piece inspection on production jobs. Make necessary adjustments to maintain part quality throughout the production run. Maintain documentation including but not limited to production log sheets. Complete the machine and mold repair tags as required. Inspect and clean molds after production run, reporting any damage to Tool Room. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree, Technical School Certification, or Vocational Training preferred. Injection Molding Process experience preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Positive attitude with willingness to learn and teach others. Proficient in reading and interpreting English-language documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and technical prints. Ability to operate measuring devices and advanced process control equipment. Capable of preparing routine reports and written correspondence. Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, ratios, rates, and percentages. Demonstrated ability to apply common-sense reasoning to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions. Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple variables in standardized work situations. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly stand and walk, occasionally sit and stoop, kneel and crouch. Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Safety glasses must be worn at all times while in this area.
