Description Purpose / General Description: Mold Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining all molds used in the production of masonry products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repair activities on molds: Operate tools and equipment to maneuver, inspect, disassemble, clean, repair and reassemble molds. Manage, preserve and control mold parts inventories: Purchase necessary repair / refurbishment components and ensure the tools and fixtures needed are always available to perform the work. Monitor inventories for accuracy. Manage replenishment system. Operate forklift safely: Organize materials, move molds, parts stocking, housekeeping Manage the mold repair schedule: Monitor the production schedule to prepare molds for use in production. Respond effectively to changes and be able to fill in on other jobs. Maintain accurate and timely reporting and recordkeeping: Material receipts, inspection logs, downtime sheets, maintenance records, … Be an effective team member: Wear PPE consistently, work safely and ensure co-workers do as well, follow all policies and procedures, set an example of good behavior, assist co-workers as needed, work as a team to achieve the production schedule, cooperate with changes in the work hours, days, shifts. Requirements Minimum Requirements: Able to communicate (written and verbal) in English (full proficiency is a plus) Valid NC Driver License, clean driving record, and / or have reliable transportation to work 3 years’ experience in maintaining and refurbishing molds in a manufacturing environment Operate PLC-controlled equipment (experience with automated batching systems is a plus) Work independently and diligently with minimal directions, to complete tasks on schedule Communicate well with team members and supervision Apply creativity to solve problems and contribute to the success of the team
