Description Mold Setter Class I, II 2nd and 3rd shift available Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Train and assist associates in performing preventive maintenance assignments. Be able to perform machine setup, operate machinery in a safe manner, and ensure equipment safety features are in place and functioning properly. Make sure scrap is recorded accurately and disposed of daily and ensure rework is completed at the end of the day. Fill in for associates when necessary. Understand and be able to operate and assist individual process stations on all equipment. Perform lock-out and tag-out (LOTO) procedures for clearing all equipment faults and restoring machine energy in accordance with established LOTO procedures. Inform Team Leader or Production Manager of any and all quality/ safety issues. Accurate completion of paperwork and data entry. Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications. Train and assist all associates in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards. Train associates on safety-related processes. Analyzes and provides inputs to resolve work problems or assists associates in solving work problems. Follows the lead operators' and team leaders' direction during emergencies. Understands and follows the response procedures for all types of emergency events. Assist in monitoring and maintaining all TPM Goals (Safety, Scrap, Customer Defects, In-Process Defects, and Downtime Frequency). Supports and participates in continual improvement projects for Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS). Must be able to do maintenance on the equipment in their specific work areas. As well as make necessary adjustments to the machines to produce quality parts. Must be able to do basic TPM activities for the equipment in their work area. Operate heavy equipment, including cranes and forklifts. Move new material, waste, and nonconforming product on level ground, stairs, and ladders. Requirements Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
