Description Job Title: Mold Technician Department: Set-Up Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Travel: 0% Job Summary The Mold Technician role is responsible for changing molds on foam molding machines to ensure efficient production and high-quality products. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintain a safe work environment Change molds on foam molding machines in a timely and efficient manner Inspect molds for damage or wear and report any issues to management Clean and maintain molds to ensure proper functioning Troubleshoot and resolve mold-related issues to minimize downtime Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area All other duties as assigned. Education Requirement/Work Experience High school diploma or equivalent A minimum of 3 – 6 months relative manufacturing experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in mold changing or strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Knowledge or experience in ERP/MRP systems Manufacturing industry experience preferred. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with Microsoft Office -- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint -- and have experience with ERP systems. Must apply critical thinking to perform problem solving for complex tasks, including recognizing hazards and mitigating risk. Must have the ability to provide clear directions for tasks. Must be able to operate machines and support equipment. The employee must be able to work at heights and be able to use a ladder.
