Description This position is responsible for inspecting molds from manufacturing, completing any minor repairs and returning molds to storage in proper condition for next manufacturing run. This position is also responsible for maintaining mold storage inventory list. Schedule: 7 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday Duties & Responsibilities: Performs all duties in a safe manner to include keeping the work area clean & neat. If any unsafe conditions are identified in or outside the HMP facility, these items need to be brought to the attention of the Plant Manager immediately. Performs minor screen and piping repair as assigned by the Plant Manager. Cleans molds using the pressure washer. Reports any damaged molds to Plant Manager for repair. Accurately tags molds after inspection and repairs are complete. Puts molds away in proper mold storage location after tagging. Keeps mold storage inventory list up to date. Complies with all HMP policies and procedures as identified in the HMP Policy book. Performs all other duties and projects as assigned by the Plant Manager. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to safely and accurately operate drill press, electric drill, and hand tools. Mechanical aptitude and general maintenance knowledge. Basic mathematical skills. Must be able to read and write English proficiently and accurately to completing required reports. Ability to accurately read a tape measure. Good communication skills; both written and verbal. Work accurately and effectively. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit/ stand in one place for extended periods of time. Ability to work in areas where temperatures are in excess of 100° or below freezing. Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds. A range of motion to repeatedly get on and off the lift truck is required. Range of motion to perform sweeping function is required. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
Responsibilities
This position involves inspecting molds from manufacturing, performing minor repairs, and ensuring molds are returned to storage in proper condition for the next run. The technician is also responsible for maintaining the mold storage inventory list and adhering to all safety and company policies.
