Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mold/Tool Bench Technician to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role focused on precision bench work, tool assembly, and component fitting. If you have a strong mechanical background and are passionate about working with molds, dies, and tooling systems, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and fit mold/tool components accurately to specification.
  • Install and plumb hydraulic and water lines, hot runner systems, and limit switches.
  • Review tool models, drawings, and BOMs to ensure proper understanding of tasks.
  • Move molds using overhead cranes, tow motors, pallet jacks, and carts.
  • Hand fit, grind, and assemble molds with minimal supervision.
  • Perform complete tool assembly and disassembly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.
  • Meet or exceed departmental throughput and delivery goals.
  • Communicate proactively with supervisors about tooling needs and scheduling.
  • Contribute to team goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of relevant bench technician or mold/tooling experience.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; basic electrical knowledge a plus.
  • Experience with overhead cranes and material handling equipment (preferred).
  • Ability to interpret CAD models and technical drawings (preferred).
  • Familiar with proper shop practices: cleanliness, organization, and safety.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfortable with basic computer or digital tools.
