Job Title:          Molder Department:   Cleanroom/Autoclave Reports to:      Shift Supervisor/Department Lead Shift:                   All   Position Purpose   Responsible for molding parts on machines and related equipment in production of quality products.     Essential Duties and responsibilities * Perform molding operations using various techniques to produce parts or products according to specifications. * Maintain a clean and controlled environment by following strict cleanroom protocols, including gowning, gloving, and adhering to contamination control procedures. * During molding operation inspect parts for defects, dimensions, and quality, and report any issues to quality control or supervisory personnel. * Record production data, including batch numbers, material usage, and production yields, and maintain accurate records of molding operations. * Employee is required to perform precise lay-up and tailor materials (example prepregs) in accordance with work instructions using sharp tools like knives and scissors.  * Employees are required to know how to use and how to read simple tools/measuring devices like rulers and calipers.  * Ensure proper housekeeping by clearing and cleaning workspace.  * Complete all paperwork pertaining to production neatly and correctly following all quality standards.   * Monitor, record and report all scrap. * Responsible for following all Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices.  * Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications/Requirements * High school diploma/general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience, training and education * Ability to read, speak, understand and follow instructions in English * Capable of using basic hand tools * Comprehension of basic math, including fractions, decimals, averages and percentages    * Must be able to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment   Candidates must be a “US Person” (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations) Environmental Condition While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to occasionally moderate.
