Summary Reporting to the Director of Surveillance and Gaming Compliance and/or the Surveillance Manager, the Surveillance Operator will play a major role in visually monitoring all gaming standards within the casino and ensuring all fraudulent activity is reported and investigated. The position requires a high level of accountability, individual responsibility, and collaboration. Core Competencies •    Customer Service •    Accountability •    Integrity •    Collaboration Job Duties •    Visually monitoring all gaming standards within the casino and ensuring that all fraudulent activity and/or any activity that is in violation of company policies or procedures is reported and investigated. •    Observing live games, slots and all areas on video monitors to detect liability concerns, illegal activity and help in maintaining overall safety for guest and employees •    Acting as a first point of contact during emergency situations. •    Working closely with various departments in ensuring that the casino operation is running smoothly. •    Reporting any illegal/suspicious activity to appropriate area(s) Requirements •    Relevant experience/education around loss prevention and surveillance activity •    Must not have any visual limitations preventing candidate from differentiating between colours of money or casino chips •    Must be able to pass a criminal background check (licensing requirement) •    Excellent verbal and written English; report writing skills are essential •    Maintain a high level of integrity and be able to hold an AGLC license •    Excellent communication skills •    Possess excellent computer skills •    Casino and table games protection experience an asset •    Has good to excellent mathematical skill •    Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Work Conditions •    Sitting for long periods of time •    Must be available to work variable hours including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays •    Viewing Cameras/TV for long periods of time. •    Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment
