About the Role: The Cardiac Monitor Technician observes cardiac monitors and reports any significant changes or abnormal patterns of the heart rhythm to the nurse assigned to the patient.  Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * E.M.T. or certificate of successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Course with a score of 85%. * BLS certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications: * Associate's degree in a related field. Responsibilities: * Upholds the standards of nursing practice through careful and skillful observation of monitors. * Observes central station monitors constantly.                     * Recognizes changes in cardiac rhythm and reports to the assigned nurse and/or Charge Nurse. * Observes and runs rhythm strip with every change in cardiac rhythm. * Runs rhythm strip on each patient every four hours and at beginning of each shift. Skills: The required skills for this position include strong analytical abilities, which are essential for interpreting data from monitoring systems and identifying trends. Effective communication skills are necessary for collaborating with team members and reporting findings to management. 
Responsibilities
