With more than 12,000 team members—physicians, surgeons, nurses, pharmacists and other highly skilled health care professionals—UofL Health is focused on one mission: delivering patient-centered care to each and every patient each and every day Job Description: The Monitor Technician is responsible for effectively monitoring patients on Central Station Telemetry in Mixed Acuity and/or Critical Care Units. This employee reports cardiac and/or vital sign changes to the nursing staff and escalates concerns, as needed. The employee primarily monitors adult and geriatric and occasionally adolescent patients. Maintains accurate records and ensure coverage of monitors; may perform EKGs, as needed. Ensures proper cleaning and storage of telemetry equipment.
