Essential Functions: * Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors. * Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.  * Identifies and corrects for artifacts. * Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. * Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor.   Required Certification/Licenses: * A high school diploma or equivalent is required.  * Handle with Care (HWC) is required within 6 months of hire.    EEOC Statement Wythe County Community Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Responsibilities
The Monitor Technician performs continuous surveillance of telemetry monitors to identify arrhythmias and patient distress. They are responsible for reporting abnormal findings to nursing staff and ensuring equipment is in proper working order.
