Responsibilities The Monitor Technician is responsible for the on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors/remote telemetry and provides RN's and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Qualifications REQUIRED Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia course or equivalent coursework with a passing score. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units Work Hours: 0700-1930 Weekend Requirements: Yes- Rotating Basis

Responsibilities

The Monitor Technician is responsible for the continuous surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and remote telemetry systems. This role requires immediate notification to Registered Nurses and/or clinicians regarding any changes observed in cardiac rhythms.
