This is an Hourly position. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Monitor Technicians function as a member of the Patient Care Team. They observe, monitor, and interpret patients’ EKG rhythms per remote viewing station. They assemble and maintain logs and are able to recognize and identify cardiac rhythms, alarms, and emergent situations. They are responsible for assembly, maintenance, cleaning, and tracking of equipment. They assemble and maintain patient charts ensuring documents are filed and scanned into EMR in a timely manner. The Monitor Technician communicates with nursing staff and may run errands for the staff upon request. The position performs duties and tasks related to acceptance, registration, and electronic transfer of patients. The Monitor Technician utilizes fax/copy machines, Hyland scanner, and pneumatic tube system. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: 6 or more months experience in customer service and computer knowledge.
