About the Role: As a Monitoring and Assurance Engineer in C4i Solutions, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and reliability of IT systems and services through proactive monitoring and operational assurance. You will implement and manage monitoring tools, analyse system health, and provide insights to prevent incidents, minimise downtime, and support continuous service improvement. The role is located onsite in Sydney, CBD. About the role: Design, implement, and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions across infrastructure and applications. Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity in real time. Investigate alerts, identify root causes, and coordinate incident response. Develop dashboards, reports, and metrics for operational visibility. Tune alert thresholds to reduce noise and improve signal accuracy. Perform trend analysis and capacity planning to anticipate future issues. Ensure systems meet agreed service levels and performance standards. Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve issues proactively. Maintain monitoring documentation, playbooks, and escalation procedures. Support audits, compliance reporting, and service assurance activities. About you: Australian citizen (required for Defence projects) with a min AGSVA NV1 clearance. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate). Strong experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) environments. Hands-on experience with Active Directory and identity management. Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Understanding of networking fundamentals and security principles. Experience with backup and recovery solutions. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. Scripting/automation skills (e.g. PowerShell). Understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and service assurance frameworks. Is highly organised with strong attention to detail. Builds positive relationships and manages stakeholders effectively. Works well independently and takes initiative. Can manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
