We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Monitoring Trustee Services (MT) team in London which is a leading global practice acting as the eyes and ears of competition authorities worldwide. You’ll work on high-profile cases involving multinational and listed companies, reporting to regulators such as the the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority, the US Federal Trade Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation in China. You'll be key in supporting the wider team that oversees the implementation of structural and/or behavioural remedies by large multinational companies. This role offers a great career path progressing to the Assistant Manager role. As Monitoring Trustee Services Senior Analyst, your responsibilities will include among others: 1. Proactively supporting compliance projects concerning the implementation of remedies offered by parties in the context of merger, antitrust, state aid proceedings. This will include: Taking ownership of a variety of tasks in the context of ongoing and new projects, demonstrating growing autonomy, efficiency and effectiveness. These tasks relate to: Administrative support: on-boarding, billing, timesheets, case management and filing, client care Analytical support: background research, discreet assessments, draft recommendations Drafting: written outputs, reviews, quality assurance. Providing active support to multiple case managers on the day-to-day case management, dealing with incoming queries to ensure prompt and timely handling, applying correct judgment and escalation (as required); Supporting client liaison and ongoing client relationships. 2. Supporting and contributing to the Marketing and Business Development activities: Assist the MT team in pitch preparations, prospective client research; Internal liaison in preparation for MT leadership team travel and client engagements; Knowledge gathering and sharing; Attending relevant competition/ forensics business development events alongside more senior colleagues. 3. Contribute to the growth and global success of the practice by way of: Adhering to the quality standards at all times (drafting, analysis, presentation and client care); Professionalism in client engagement (current and prospective); Increased understanding of the practice’s workload and the wider firm’s offering. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should Project Support Officer or Paralegal experience within a professional services firm, competition authority or competition sector regulators is desirable Compliance monitoring or implementation experience is desirable Project management or support: experience in supporting the day-to-day management of (compliance) projects, at various stages of the project’s cycle.
