ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an assembly technician to support the assembly of the Gravis hardware package that turns regular excavators into awesome, autonomous machines. You will work with our engineering team in Zurich to document, manufacture, test and refine custom hardware that enables our AI to control and assist with the safe operation of heavy machines. You are capable of working both independently and with others, and are intrinsically driven to solve challenging applied problems with a rigorous attention to detail and an explorative imagination.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in reading schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Must be able to lift up to 20 kg and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods
• Experience with documentation and inventory tracking
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE

• Completed apprenticeship as Electronics/Mechatronics/Manufacturing - Technician or similar

• Experience with SMD soldering

• Assembly of mechanical and electrical hardware per engineering drawings and work instructions
• Own the assembly process and contribute feedback to support design for manufacturing
• Organize and manage additional personnel as required by demand
• Perform soldering, wiring, and mechanical integration tasks
• Inspect assemblies for defects and compliance with quality standards
• Document build steps and report issues or discrepancies
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve assembly problems
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
