CO-DIRECTRESS

Boundary Bay Montessori School is operated by the non-profit Board, Montessori in Delta Society (MIND). The school was established in 1990 and is located in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. We are situated in a natural pastoral setting with a wonderful view of the Cascade Mountains in the background. The natural environment provides many learning opportunities to foster student connection with the earth. The current school houses Nido (1-3), Casa (3-6), Lower Elementary (6-9) and Upper Elementary (9-12) classrooms. We have experienced Montessori Directresses who value working in a professional educational environment where collaboration is valued, innovation is welcomed and mentoring is available to create a team approach to working and learning. If you would like to join our team, we will be looking for people to fill the following positions in 2025-26.
Position: Montessori Nido Co-Directress
Start Date: October 27, 2025 – June 30, 2026 (this is a 12-mth position; after June 30, 2026, a continuing contract will be awarded effective July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ECE or ECEA certification
  • Montessori training is preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Criminal Records Check & First Aid Certification
Responsibilities
  • Implement a Montessori prepared environment for the 1-3 year-old child
  • Plan & maintain a stimulating & developmentally appropriate environment both indoors and outdoors that supports the health & wellbeing of the child
  • Exercise respect, patience, and empathy with children & families
  • Maintain parent communication (oral & electronic)
  • Work productively & cooperatively as a co-guide in the classroom
  • Keep up to date with professional development
