Western Heights Montessori Academy is a well-established Montessori school that has seven campuses located across Mississauga and Oakville. We are looking for a Director to oversee all aspects of the school, from staff leadership and family engagement to regulatory compliance and operational excellence. This position is ideal for someone who combines hands-on childcare expertise with strong leadership skills to create a thriving school environment. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the general operation of one or multiple campuses.
  • Work with the Program Advisor, the Region, and the Health department to always be in compliance with the Ministry and Government requirements.
  • Conduct school tours to prospective parents.
  • Manage the performance of a team consisting of 10+ educators.
  • Set clear expectations and keep the team motivated, unified, and focused on Montessori principles.
  • Resolve conflicts and maintain a positive, respectful workplace culture.
  • Lead and inspire educators by modeling professionalism, positivity, and commitment to excellence.
  • Foster a school culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure an enriched curriculum is implemented across all classrooms.
  • Plan and implement key events for the school - graduation, holiday concert, etc.
  • Build trusting, collaborative relationships with families.

Qualification:

  • ECE or Montessori diploma preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience, including supervising and motivating a larger team in a childcare or educational setting.
  • Strong ability to set direction, delegate effectively, and inspire staff performance.
  • Excellent business communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient with office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Standard First Aid CPR C+ certification.
  • Criminal background check and immunization up to date.
  • Passion for working with children and fostering a positive, collaborative school culture.
