MONTESSORI SUPPLY TEACHER

RHMS is seeking an experienced Montessori Teacher to fulfill the position of Montessori Supply Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. This certified teacher must have experience in working with Casa (ages 3-6), and be prepared to supply for Head Teachers and Co-Teachers, anytime between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. This position will provide great experience and opportunities at RHMS, as we look to our Supply Teacher pool first when hiring Head Teachers and Co-Teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MACTE or AMI Montessori Casa (age 3-6) certification preferred. ECE diploma registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators is also considered.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a Montessori with Casa aged children (ages 3-6).
  • Experience in a private school is preferred.
  • Google Suites certification will be required to complete.

  • Thrives in a positive team environment and easily adapts to new things.
  • Communicates with parents, students, and co-workers in a respectful and supportive manner.
  • Confidence in solving problems and providing solutions when issues arise.
  • Works with a high standard of integrity.
  • Excellent oral, written, communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable in providing distance learning.
  • Highly proficient in navigating Windows and Apple operating systems and SMARTBoards. Skilled in Google Suites an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the classroom teachers to prepare a self-directed, stimulating and inclusive learning environment for students, to meet their individual needs.
  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing engaging lessons that focus on developing individual social, physical, intellectual and emotional skills. Prepare for activities as required.
  • Use iPads, SmartBoards, G-Suites and various age-appropriate technology applications (i.e. RAZ-Kids) to engage students and supplement the Montessori curriculum in a meaningful way.
  • Conduct circle time that promotes learning and group discussion.
  • Maintain open and positive communication with students’ parents by keeping them up-to-date on the student’s day.
  • Keep up-to-date on innovative Montessori and Elementary teaching methods and developments in the education field through seminars, Montessori refresher courses, etc.
  • Keep the classroom clean and inviting by keeping materials organized and disinfecting daily.
  • Supply teachers are required to create a fun, innovative and engaging program for Montessori students.
