OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and inspiring students to reach their full potential. This role involves developing individualized education plans, engaging students in various activities, and assessing their progress to ensure academic success.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduated with Montessori MACTE or AMI Diploma with 1 to 2 years of Montessori classroom experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse backgrounds and learning needs.
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques and conflict resolution strategies.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification.
  • Up-to-date medical record and immunization record.
  • Police Reference Check within the last 6 months.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, lead and present Montessori lessons and activities to young children of diverse learning styles.
  • Provide developmentally age-appropriate learning opportunities while creating a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Assess student performance through observation, regular evaluations and feedback in preparation of report cards and individualized plans.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, parents, and staff to support student development and address any challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.
  • Uphold school policies and Ministry guidelines; understands CCEYA Licensing Standards and HDLH document contributing to a positive school culture.
