Teacher Job Description

The responsibilities include:

  • Designing age-appropriate program plans weekly focused on developing social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills
  • Assessing children’s individual needs
  • Communicating effectively with the families on a regular basis
  • Providing and creating a welcoming, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Implementing ELECT (Early Learning for Every Child Today) and “How Does Learning Happen” (The Ontario Guide/Resource for Early Childhood Educators) in all aspects of the classroom.
  • Implementing daily, weekly, and monthly Ministry of Education and Public Health requirements to meet compliance such as ratio, health and safety, program plan, etc.

Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Education or Montessori Diploma
  • Standard First Aid Training and CPR Level C
  • Police Check
  • Medical and Immunization Report
