Do you have a few hours to spare in the early part of the day and a genuine passion for helping others? Home Instead Marlborough & Test Valley is looking for compassionate, reliable individuals to join our team as Morning Care Assistants. Job Description Location: We cover Marlborough & Test Valley (Devizes, Pewsey, Marlborough, Amesbury, Andover, Tidworth, Larkhill, Ludgershall, and surrounding villages) Job Type: Part-time Hourly Rate: £13.00-£14.00 Shifts: Morning shifts, typically starting between 7:00-8:00, with the last shift finishing around 14:00. You can select regular hours on any day of the week that works best for you. What You’ll Be Doing: As a Morning Care Assistant, you’ll help clients start their day with confidence and maintain their independence through the heart of the day. Your role focuses on providing vital personal care and upbeat support, ensuring that clients feel energised and well-cared for from the moment they wake up through to the afternoon. Tasks may include: Morning Routine Support: Assisting clients with rising and getting ready for the day (e.g., washing, dressing, and grooming). Breakfast & Hydration: Preparing a nutritious breakfast and ensuring clients stay well-hydrated throughout the morning. Medication Assistance: Helping clients take their morning and lunchtime medications accurately and on time. Lunch Preparation: Preparing a healthy midday meal or light lunch and providing assistance with eating where required. Light Housekeeping: Helping with basic tasks like making the bed, tidying the kitchen, or managing laundry to keep the home environment comfortable. Companionship & Outings: Offering emotional support and friendly conversation, or perhaps assisting with a short walk or a trip to the local shops. Ensuring Well-being: Monitoring the safety and comfort of clients as they go about their daily activities, helping them feel secure and supported. Qualifications Compassionate, kind-hearted individuals with a genuine desire to help others Ability to work a few regular hours in the evening, ideal for those seeking part-time hours or wanting to work alongside other commitments No prior experience in care is necessary – we will provide all the training you need Must be reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently Access to own reliable transport, as many of our clients are located in rural areas Ability to work alternate weekends essential Additional Information £13.00-£14.00 ph Paid travel time and mileage of 45p per mile Holiday entitlement: 28 days paid holiday Full training provided – we will put you through your care certificate and pay you for the time you spend training!
